His Divine Grace Srila B.A. Paramadvaiti Maharaja, also called Guru Maharaja by his disciples, was born in Osterkappeln to a family of German educators, on October 12, 1953. At the age of 24 he received the sacred order of sannyas, or renunciation. His Sannyas name is Bhaktiloka Paramadvaiti Swami. The life of Guru Maharaja has been very dynamic, as he has occupied himself continuously with opening centers and spreading the transcendental message of the Vedas.
