His Holiness Swami Prakashananda was born on the 30th of November 1970 in Hyannis, Massachusetts. From his first encounter with Swami Ramakrishnananda in 2003, he felt an incredibly strong emanation of the Divine presence which compelled him to inquire into the intricate ways of the Yoga. Swamiji was formally initiated in 2005 and received
sannyasa initiation in 2006. Swamiji gives lectures on Yoga and teaches classes in the classical style of Hatha Yoga.
